Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
Peter, I tried to e-mail you but it didn't go through. Your wife's ancestor Edouard may be related to my cousin's line or even to mine. I am interested in all Brodeur and Brothers of Massachussets, especially in the Worcester area. If your wife knows her ancestor who emigrated from Quebec to the United States, I may have her line back to 1653.
My line from Quebec: Georges Alphonse Brodeur, arrived from St-Hyacinthe about 1890 in New Bedford area with his parents. His parents (Moise Brodeur and Albina Lemieux) returned to Quebec, he moved to Worcester; Homer Louis Brodeur, born abt. 1905, MA, married Ethel May Lapoint; George Louis Brodeur, born 1930, MA; Gary Louis Brodeur, born 1953, CA.
My cousin's line: Elphege Brodeur; Henry J. Brodeur m. Mabel S. Benoit; Henry Charles Brodeur m. Lorraine Woods; Dawn Ellen Brodeur. She and both her parents are only children, but her grandfather (Henry J.) was one of seven brothers.
