Hi Pamela

My great great great great grandmother Elizabeth Brooke whose father was Benjamin Brooke married David Benjamin Redding in 1811 in London. I have recently found several people through the internet whose great great great grandmother was Elizabeth and who both say that their respective families have said for over 100 years that they were related to Sir James Brooke the Rajah of Sarawak.

I am trying to establish the link between Elizabeth and Benjamin with Sir James Brooke. I would be very grateful if you have any info on the wider Brooke family from the 17th/18th centuries.
