Bruce/Le Chaundeler (Chandler) connection?
Posted by: Jack Kraft (ID *****6891) Date: July 17, 2002 at 10:39:18

One of my cousins sent a history of the Chandler/Le Chaundeler's going back to about 1240. One of them, Richard Le Chaundeler II is reported to have married Matilda Bruce, daughter of Robert the First. From other postings I have seen Matilda being married to Thomas de Isaac. Does anyone know of any connection to Bruce family by the Chandler/Le Chaundeler family. The Chandler's were very prevalent with the church and lived in Wilcot Parish, Oare, Wiltshire, England.

Thank you,
Jack Kraft
