Looking for any information on the following line: Edwin Brumfield and Marvin Riffle. I believe that is the correct spelling of her last name. I do not know their parents names. They died in Circleville Ohio. One of their mothers was full Cherokee. They both claimed to be part Cherokee but "mostly black Dutch" They had 2 children Leon, and Hershel (sp?). That's all I have! Mostly I am interested in finding out what their true nationality was. My fathers family is all very dark skinned, with dark hair. They attribute that to the Cherokee, however most of the Brumfields I meet are of African American decent which makes me wonder. That surname is very uncommon in this part of the country, but very common in the Louisiana area. From what I have surmised. Thank you Judith
