I did some digging at the Clayton library the other day and came across a set of books about immigrations to America from the UK. A list of the first settlers at Jamestown Island, Virginia in 1607 as noted by Captain John Smith first lists Council, then Gentlemen, then Carpenters and last, Labourers.

Listed with James were 3 other boys: Samuel Collier, Nathaniell Pecock and Richard Mutton. Perhaps finding information on them will lead to more information on James.
