In the early 1800s George Spears and William Brumfield were neighbors on the Guyandotte River at Big Ugly Creek in Cabell County WV. I am looking for information on George Spears -- my great, great, great, great grandfather. Here is what I know:
1. born in VA abt. 1790
2. first bought land in 1815 on Guyandotte
3. married Elizabeth Miller in 1818 in Cabell County
4. father of Henry Spears (b. abt. 1829), Kinah Spears (b. abt. 1831) and David Spears (b. abt. 1834)
5. died in 1834; left a will; estate sold 5 Dec 1836
What I don't know:
1. Who were his parents? When did they come to VA/WV?
2. Where in VA/WV was George born?
3. Did George Spears have siblings?
I would so appreciate any information.
