Hello Jon, I checked the census records for Cabarrus Co., Nc. In 1900 your John Rogers was living in Kings Creek, Cabarrus Co. with his wife, 3 children that you had listed and his brother, Ossni. In 1880 on the census for Poplar Tent, Cabarrus Co., N.C. he and his brother, Ossni, are listed living with parents, James and Mary, siblings, Emma, Charles William and Daniel. On the 1870 census, Twp. 2, Cabarrus Co. James, Mary and John R. are living next door to John A. /Margaret M. Rogers Brumley. These are John Rogers parents. John Alexander Brumley married Margaret M. Rogers on 3-15-1836 in Cabarrus, N.C. John Alexander's parents are Peter Brumley and Susan. You can also find information on the family at the Brumley Gathering and in Cabarrus Co., N.C. Good luck.
