i am working on geneology for my sister. her first husbands grandmother was winifred bruorton. the family remained in mass. and new york until the last 40 years or so. winifreds father was george bruorton. the name is so uncommon that most likely everyone with that name is connected. i was unable to find any bruortons in any census, however in the 1880 census i found the family of george e. breuerton and wife josephine a. living in mass. there was a son george e. aged 6 that i thought might be winifreds father. would greatly appreciate any information you may have on this family. also i have a coat of arms for the bruorton family in addition to pictures of george.
