Frank,

Although I have no Wilhelm Ludwig Bubeck in my tree (to my knowledge), I have a relative (Daniel Gottlob Bubeck) born in Rotenberg, Germany but moved to Stuttgart and became a Restauranteur, and married Kornwestheim mayor's daughter (Pauline Wirth). Their children were: (1) Ludwig Karl Paul, (2) Otto, (3) Elsa, (4) Hans, (5) Gretel, and (6) Albert. Your comment about 1520 was what caught my attention. The oldest generation for which I have record dates to about 1700. My grandparents spoke of relatives immigrating to Germany from Austria (about 1550), as household servants for the Grafin of Tyrol. She apparently married the Graf (?) of Wuerttemburg, and all her staff accompanied her.

Tom
