Hi. My gggrandfather, Andrew Jackson Bucy, was your gggrandfather's older brother. Andrew was born Feb 7, 1815, three years before your John Madison Bucy.

Andrew married Louisa Wells (b.1817) and was a Confederate soldier and surgeon. He died in battle April 14, 1864. He is buried in the Bucy family cemetary in Burrell Township, Decatur County, Iowa, along with his wife, Louisa (d.1906) You can find this info on Rootsweb.com/-iadecatu/mapDocs/BurrellMap.html.

His son, Andrew Jackson Bucy (b. 1853) was living in Terre Haute, Iowa at the time. I am still researching this family.

Andrew married Mary Miller (b.1861) and had my grandfather, Zene Howard Bucy (b.1886), along with eight other kids. His daughter, Rose Marie Bucy (b.1924) was my mother. She died in 1992.

I would love to correspond with you and any other interested Bucy clan members!!
Marilyn Look (b.1953)
