Burn families inc. Lambton-Burn
Posted by: Bruce Burn Date: October 03, 2000 at 17:17:42

My father, Cyril Lambton Hopson Burn was born in Portsmouth, England, and died in 1956 in Wellington, New Zealand. He used to tell us either his father or grandfather had dropped a hyphen between Lambton and Burn some time before. (The Hopson came from my father's mother's family). Anyone know anything about a Lambton-Burn connection? I also understand there is or was a small village in what was either Durham or Northumberland called "Lambton", but can't find it on any maps. Any hints or suggestions?
