My Grandmother was Phoebe Bursey. She was born January 19, 1865 and died July 1, 1965. She lived in the Gander Bay area. She out-lived three husbands, Thomas Porter, Abel Croucher (my grandfather) and John Fox. She had 3 children for Mr. Porter (Will, Walter and Lem) my father(Raymond) for Mr. Croucher, but no children for Mr. Fox. I understand she also had a male child (last name Troke) when she was 14. I believe she lived in Victoria Cove, Horwood, Change Islands, Campbellton and she lived with us for a couple of years in Corner Brook in early 60's and with us in Buchans in the 50's. I've learned from this site that her father was Richard Bursey, but I'm uncertain of her mother's maiden name. I would really appreciate any further details anyone can provide on Phoebe's ancestors.
