Hi Valerie, I do have some information on Burseys from Gander Bay.I have a Richard Sr., Richard, Andrew, and Thomas W. who were there in 1898. Our family has connections with Thomas and possibly Richard. The story that I have been told is that Richard was from Change Islands and he was one of the first people to move to Gander Bay. I have the marriage of Richard Bursey of Dog Bay age 50 and Pamels Ginn of Dog Bay age 28. Married on March 5 1880. The first child I have for them is Susan Marie daughter of Richard and Pamela of Gander Bay born Sept. 20, 1884 bapt. Oct 2, 1885. I also have a Richard married to an Ann Comden living in Joe Batt's Arm. They started their family in 1850. My information states that Bengimen Bursey son of Richard and Ann lived on Change Islands. If you have any information on Thomas Bursey and his wife Grace LeDrew Eveleigh Bursey please let me know. I know that they had two daughters one married a Phillips and one an Eastman. Hope to hear from you soon. Doreen Notify Administrator about this message?
