I don't know what Alabama county you used when looking at census but I would suggest that you try Jackson Co. Alabama. My branch of the Busby's migrated from Richland So. Carolina to Jackson Co. Alabama by push boat down the Tennessee River around 1820's. First located in Doran's Cove, Jackson Co. Alabama. Second generation moved to Big Coon, Jackson Co. Alabama. After the Civil War my family moved to the panhandle of Texas around Eastland Co.
