Leander Cabe, age 50, wife Nancy K., age 45, are posted on the 1900 Census Flint Hill, Fannin County, GA. They had 11 children, 9 living. At home are Robert L. age 20, Carl age 13, Carrie age 13, Fred age 7, Homer age 5, Wheeler age 4.
Leander was also supposed to be married to a Sarah Barnes(?). Leander is the son of John L. Cabe b. 1809 in NC, and Elizabeth Ledford, b. 1812 in NC. This is Macon County, NC area. The family moved to Gilmer County GA, 1850, were in Fannin County, 1860 and later moved to Cobb County, GA
1880 Census for Flint Hill, Fannin County, GA lists:
John Cabe, age 71, Elisia, age 68, John L., 32, b. NC
Nancy T. 28 daughter, Kansas J., b. GA.
John Cabe was son of Zachariah Cabe, b. Lincoln County, NC moved to Macon County, NC died before 1860, wife unkown.
