On the 1880 Whitman Co., WA Federal Census, Henry Calder said he was born in 1845 in MA. He was a farmer and his wife was Mary E. born 1846 in OH.
Their children were:
Samuel F. Calder b 1872 KS
Sarah E. Calder b. 1875 Spring Hill, Johnson Co., KS
d. 1894 WA.
Sarah E. Calder of Clearwater, ID married Rudolf H. Martens 8 Jan 1893 in Idaho Co., ID.
Their only child was Colonel Carson Martens born 25 Sep 1894 in WA and died 7 Feb 1981 in Orange Co., CA. He married Martha Home Hollister who was born 17 Feb 1896 in CA.
