John Calder and his wife Christina Webster came to Alora Wellington County from Aberdeenshire Scotland in 1835 children Elizabeth, Barbara who later married John Dalgarno (my relative),Kirstie,Alexander,John, Mary,Margaret,Isabella,william,Jemima,and Georgina. came to Canada through the port of Montreal...there is a story about what happened to them on the Rideau Canal, that I have. You can find this story in a book at the Library called: The History of Alora and Vicinity by John Connan....
