Just as a side note, Evan Calfee's daughter Sarah Ann Amanda Calfee m. first John William Burt on 16 Dec. 1852 at Rockford, Coosa County. He died at Camp Chase, OH about a week before the end of the Civil War as a POW. They had 3 children. (my line) She then married David Crockett Coffman on 21 Oct. 1867 at Coosa County, they had 3 children. She died and was buried at Rush Springs, OK in 1909. There was something in my notes about the first person to be buried at Rush Springs Cemetery and it seems like her name was Mattie but I'll have to find that and let you know her last name. It might not be relevant to the Mattie you are asking about.
