You information is most helpful. I do believe we are related. The following is information I have.

Father:       CALHOUN

NOTE: From Vera Gooding's family history - James and Margaret CALHOUN came to the United States from England in the early 1800's. James & Margaret were of Scotish descent. They lived in Montgomery County, in or near Mount Vernon, GA. The year of birth and deaths are unknown.

       Alexander (Sandy ?) (~1840-)
       Mary E. (~1847-)

1.1 James (Jim) CALHOUN
Birth:       abt 1838, Montgomery County, GA2
Occ:       Confederate soldier/ Railroad Worker on 1870 Census

1.2 Alexander (Sandy?) CALHOUN
Birth:       abt 1840
The name Sandy Calhoun does not appear with Margaret Calhoun on the 1860 Census. There is an Alexander who was 20 at the time. I "assume" that this is the Sandy that Aunt Vera listed. 2 .

Birth:       abt 1847, Montgomery County, Georgia2

Birth:       1849, Montgomery County, Georgia2

Marr:       Montgomery County, Mount Vernon, GA (?)

Note from Aunt Vera's research: Alonzo Gooding and Elmira Calhoun were married at the home of James Warren, in the presence of friends and relatives by J. J. Sutton, Justice of the Peace.
