POLLY (PAULIE) M. CAMBER, b. 18 May 1793, Strafford, Orange [County], VT; d. 13 November 1878, Thetford [sic], Jay, [Orleans
County] VT. She's given as the dau. of JOHN H. CAMBER and HEBORAH DATA [sic].
Can any Camber folk shed any more light on either Polly or esp. her parents for we "Place" folk? "Data," really??
We "Place cousins" suspect this is the "Polly" who in the 1870 Census, age 77, is living with Benjamin Place in Jay, VT. Her birthplace is given as
"Vermont."
On Benjamin's 2d marr. cert. January 25, 1880 (following the death of his first wife in 1878) he gives his parents as "Stephen PLACE" and "Polly
COMBER."
