My grandmother, Anna Canale had a brother who moved to San Francisco. We believe his name was either Pietro or Joseph Canale and he would have moved there in the early 1900's. I did find a Joseph Canale in the 1930 census with wife Antoinette and children Lawrence, Santa, Joseph, John and Peter. The Canale's were originally from Casteldaccia, Italy.
