John Stewart Cann was born Nov 18, 1843 and died June 22, 1900. He served in Co I, 14th SC Inf, CSA, was wounded at least once(at Fraziers Farm) and possibly again at Gettysburg. He and Martha Bowen Cann are buried at Midway Baptist Church, near Lowndsville, SC. She was born Oct 11, 1843 and died Jan 15 1935. I have a copy of her obituary from the Greenville News.
