I do have a John Cann but I do not think he matches your information here is the information on my John Cann:
John Cann was the 8th child of William Cann and Gertrude Stanlake he was born 23rd Feb 1854 in Westleigh Devon (sometimes known as Woolfardisworthy) and died 17th June 1951 in Ruislip Middlesex.
His 1st marriage was to Mary Ann Robinson on 16 Sept 1880 in the Methodist Free Church Poplar Middlesex. She was the daughter of Jesse Robinson and Jane Dodds. She was born 9th Jan 1852 and died July 1931 in Ickenham Middlesex.
His 2nd Marriage was to Edith Blanche Plummer on 21 Marcch 1934 in Ickenham Middlesex She was the daughter of Percy Edwin Plummer and ? she was born in Woodstock Oxon in 1895 and died before 1985.
John was buried with his 1st wife Mary in St mary's Churchyard Harefield Middlesex his burial took place on 21 June 1951.
His Occupations were:
Apprenticed to a stone mason.
Police Constable
Police Inspector
and In retirement an Estate Agent.
He lived in Woolfardisworthy Devon.
Poplar London E. Bromley London Middlesex
S.Hackney London E. Ickenham Middlesex and Ruislip in Middlesex
