Cannell Family Genealogy Forum

My great aunt once told me that my family originally came from the Isle of Man, but I have not found a link yet.
I have traced my Cannell family back to my GGGGGrandfather Robert Cannell in Norfolk. He who was married in Colchester to a Hannah Church in 1804.
Further to my previous messages, I have now found that Robert Cannell was "removed" back to Seething in 1817 near Lodden without his wife, but with his three children Thomas, Mary and Robert. I presume that Robert must have been from Seething originally, but I haven't been able to find any definite record of his birth. In the IGI, there is a Cannell family nearby in Thurlton who may be related, but I can't prove that there is a connection. They have a father Robert Cannell married to Mary Cannell in 1773, with children Robert b1781, Susan b1774, Mary b1775, Abig. b1777, Thomas b1779 and James b1785. Does anyone know anything about this Thurlton family? I have been sent a pedigree of Cannell families in Norfolk, but they don’t appear in that.
Are any of these in your family tree at all or do you know of any Cannells that came from the IOM to Norfolk? Does anyone have any ideas how I could find a link between my family and the Thurlton family?
Also, my GGGrandfather Thomas Cannell was born in Colchester in 1831. He married Elizabeth Butler. He was a master hairdresser living at 100 Old Kent Road, London. They had 3 children, Albert Edward b1867 (my GGrandfather), Thomas Henry b1861 and Ellen Elizabeth b1867. My grandfather never mentioned his uncle and aunt, so they are rather mysterious. I have discovered that Thomas Henry married Ellen Milbourne (b1866 in Stepney) in 1890, and lived at 16, Charlotte Street, Woodford Wells, London. Does anyone have Thomas Henry or Ellen Elizabeth in their family trees?
