Cecilie - Thank you very much for those valuable pieces of information. I have not actually researched Abel Kendrick - just took what others had provided and tried to see if he would tie in with James Cannon Kendrick. It appears very plausible that Russell Cannon's daughter, Judith could be the mother of James. This is some of what I know of James: Married: Abt 1833, TN
Children: Narcissa KENDRICK b: 1834 in Tennessee
Thomas J. KENDRICK b: 1836 in Mississippi
James Martin KENDRICK b: 10 Jan 1840 in Tippah County, Mississippi
Jackson C. KENDRICK b: 1842 in Mississippi
J. Anna KENDRICK b: 10 Apr 1848 in Mississippi.
James and Mary and their family obviously moved to AK soon after their marriage.
Still hoping to find out who his father was.
