I am trying to find the connection between a Samuel C. Cannon, born 5-2-1843, died 12-25-1878, and the Cannon family who lived in Hill County, TX. Samuel is buried in the Prairie Dale Cemetery just northeast of Hillsboro, TX. According to a new veteran headstone behind the original headstone, he was a private in Co. A, 20th SC Infantry, Confederate States of America. Trying to find the connection between Samuel and Elisha Martin Cannon who is buried in the same cemetery.
