This posting provides additional information regarding my earlier posting.
Vicie's full name was Laura Vice (Cannon) Burks. Her sister, Sarah Elizabeth (Cannon) Tisdale, married Moses Tisdale May 8, 1859 in Boone County, Missouri. Moses was born about 1838/1840 in Missouri.
The parents of Laura Vice and Sarah Elizabeth were Alfred Easton Cannon, born about 1817, Christian County, Kentucky and Mary Ann "Polly" Haller, born about 1822 in Kentucky. Polly died November 16, 1889.
Isham Peter Burks, husband of Laura Vice, died April 17, 1913 and is buried in Howard County, Texas at a small place called Moore Community.
We would appreciate hearing from anyone with additional information on these familes.
