My father is James,"Bob",Robert Cannon b 1931, his father was Paris Cannon and Mother was Margarete Livers. They lived in Martin county, IN. a small town called Loogootee, they had 3 boys: James (my dad), Joseph, and John(died at young age), as well as 12 girls. I believe Paris's father Joseph Cannon and that's all I know. My dad told me Joseph was my Great Grandfather who fought in the Civil War. Paris lived in Martin Co. IN., in a town called Loogootee where he made buttons and farmed. My fater was born in 1931, and his father died ca 1943. That's all I know as far back. My father told me the cannon's originally came from SC, but i cant confirm. Any help is greatly appreciated. I would love to find more information on the Cannon Heritage.
