Fran,
We share a common ancestor in Thomas C. Cannon (1755-1818) - my gggggGrandfather. I am decended from Thomas' son John Canon (b. 1788)and his son Thomas W. Canon (1818-1880) and his son Archibald Douglass Canon. My father was born with the name Archibald Douglas Canon IV, but was later adopted under the name Douglas Higgins.

I can fill in a good amount of info on this lineage if you would like.

I saw your Canon Genforum posting about relationship of Thomas C. Cannon to his likely father Moses Canon of Scotland, as mentioned in Moses' Will. Did you ever get any further info on that relationship, or history behind Moses Canon.
