My great great grandfather we think is from Ireland, his name was John James Carley. He came over here to Australia on the James Jardine, and he arrived here on 29th June 1859. He had two sisters, Maria and Bridget. Maria came out with him, Bridget a few years later.
The ship the James Jardine left from Liverpool to Adelaide (South Australia), and on the shipping record, he said that he was from Warwick, England.
We are trying to trace them back, to see if they came from Ireland or not.
Hope you have some info for me to help me continue my family tree!
