My father Sylvester Carlyon was born on December 14, 1917 to Henry and Mary Ellen. He had three brothers ( Edwin, Henry and another brother whose name I presently cannot remember. Two sisters Rhoda and Margaret. They lived in the Town of Craghead, near New Castle upon Tyne. I have kept in touch with Margaret - however much family history is not known except what I learned from my father. My father passed away 5 years ago at the age of 79. He fondly remembered his family and his years serving the British Navy, one of his ships was the HMS Rodney and took part in the sinking of the Bismarck. My father's family
were very musical and many played an instrument and were in a band. Dad played the trumpet and also played in the ships band. I would like to hear from other family members or friends that knew my father's family. It is nice to connect and would truly treasure this. Thank you so much.
