I am trying to find information about our first Carrodus ancestors to arrive in Australia. Thomas Carrodus b. 1808 in Keighley Yorkshire arrived with his 19 year old son in Melbourne aboard the Lightning in Apr 1857. The following year in Jun 1858 his wife Ann(Nancy)50 arrived aboard the Rising Sun with the rest of their children John 26, Jonathan 24, Mary 19, Sarah 15 and James 12. Any knowledge about this family would be gratefully received.
