Hello from Oregon:
My John M. Cartwright was married in Meigs county, Ohio in about 1827 to Thankful (Wheeler) Whitney, b. ca. 1806/1809, the d/o Jabez Whitney and spouse. Their daughter, Elsey Ann Cartwright, b. ca. 1842/1844 in Illinois married first to a William McClellan/d, and they had two children about in the 1850's: Julia/Jesse and Francis. She married second, in Minnesota, to my paternal great grandpa, Nelson William Cary/Carey/Carrey, b. 1833 New York, to Robert Thomas Cary, b. ca. 1805 New York and Margaret Gage/Gaige, b. ca. 1806 PA. Nelson W. Cary was AKA William Nelson Carey, and died in Minnesota, in 1908. Rosalie (turtle4u@q.com)
