Billie, In the 1770's, thre were 3 Cashatt families in NC: Joseph, John & Jacob. I am from the John lineage and there are no Janes in our line. There is a will registered of Jacob in 1810 and it lists no Janes. Your information is interesting. We still don't have proof on several issues.Ida Cain seems to have the most records. I do not find her email now. If I find it, I'll forward. Good Luck. PS. Cashatt was spelled Coshatt, Cushatt and as you have, Cashett. John cashatt
