Alvenia, I'm an Abshire from southwest LA (but I now live in Arizona). My father is Lawrence Abshire and his father was Obray Abshire. I grew up in Lake Arthur but my dad lived in the Gueydan area when he was younger. I don't know many of my grandfather's brothers and sisters names, but I can find them out from my dad. My grandfather died about 29 or 30 years ago. I'm interested in getting information about our ancestry.
