I'm looking for ancestors of Skipper William Allan from Montrose, Scotland. He moved to Norway later in his life and had a family there, however, this inquiry is about his family in Scotland. William died in Molde, Norway around 1780, so he could have been born around 1712. He is known to be the skipper of the boat (snav) 'Hoop' from Edinburgh, and the brigantine 'Good Intent'. From William's childrens names I'm looking for a close relative named Isabella (His deceased wife???), and Robert... Since I'm a Norwegian living in California, I'm looking for assistance from someone familiar with Scottish genealogy... Help!!! Freddy
