Margie Arlene Bailey, 96, of Kingsport, Sullivan Co TN, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Wexford House following a brief illness. Born in Coeburn, VA, Margie had lived in Rock Hill, NC, for a number of years before moving to Kingsport in 1995. She was a member of Gravelly Baptist Church in Kingsport. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dana Bailey; her parents, William and Frances Holbrook Adams; her sister, Virginia 'Ginny' Taylor; brothers, Worley Adams, Sr. and Charlie Adams. Margie is survived by her sisters, Sarah Vaughn, Goldie Gobber and Viola Adams all of Kingsport, TN; brothers, Albert Adams of Nederland, TX and Ervin Adams of Rock Hill, NC; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport, TN. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m., in the funeral home chapel with Pastor David Salley officiating. A graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at Forest Hills Cemetery in Rock Hill, SC. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:55 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gravelly Baptist Church, 500 Gravely Rd, Kingsport, TN 37660.
