I would be grateful for any info re Baines family in India from 1860 to 1950. Also to trace my family further back in England before emigration to India. My great grandfather was John William Baines, ex British army in India, somewhere around 1870 to 1880. Our branch from my grandfather (also John William Baines) and down, emigrated to New Zealand after India gained independence in 1948. I am also interested in learning of currently living cousins etc probably residing in England, but elsewhere as well.
