I am sorry I don't have any info on him. William is a favorite name in my branch of the Baines family in NC. The Baines family was in NC in the 1700's that I know of and I know some of them moved out of state. There was a William Baines who fought in the Civil War. He was my great-grandfather's oldest brother and my grandfather was named after him. I can't find anything on him after that time so I think he may have left the area and I thought I might could connect him to your Will somehow.
