I am seeking a source for the children of Thomas Baines b. 1787 North Carolina, married Mary McCoy and died Mississippi Dec 1836. There is a Baines family album written by President Lyndon Johnson's mother, Rebecca Baines Johnston, but there are no sources for the information included in the book. Her book will not suffice as "proof" of the lineage. Same probelm with Robert's Lineage of American Presidents - no source information given. I need to connect Thomas Baines to his sons George Washington Baines and William Creth Baines for SAR applications.
