The old country is England/Scotland or Ireland. This John Bay sailed from England in 1635 to America as an indentured servant to William Eyers. After 7 years, he was freed from his indenture and was in Virginia 1642. I have lost his trail from there. My Bay family shows in PA (Pennsylvania) in 1720; NC (North Carolina) in 1770's and ended up in TN (Tennessee) in 1789.
