Looking for information for Laban P. Bishop, 1816, SC. Found a Laban Bishop in SC in 1850 census and several on Rootsweb and Ancestry. I believe this is the same person but the son I have is Marion Augustus Bishop,1845. The 1850 census has wife Frances. My Laban's wife is Sarah. Found in Spartanburg District deeds book, land sold by Laban P. Bishop with "Dower relinquished by Sarah F. Bishop". This, I belive is the same Laban and Sarah who moved to Alabama. Can anyone shed any light on these people. I have a lot of info from Alabama but lacking any from SC.
