I am interested in any information you may have on Sylvester Blackwell and Martha Griggs. My information is that Sylvester was born in 1810 in NC and Martha was born in 1811 also in NC. They were married in 1830, and Sylvester was a banker in McMinn Co., TN. They had at lease 2 daughters; Mary Blackwell who married G. Houston Lemons, and Anna who married James C. Lemons. James and Anna are the parents of Mary Jane Lemons b 1849 who married Benjamin Thomas Caywood. Mary Jane and Benjamin Thomas are my ggrandparents.
