Papasowh (Morning) Several Bourne families may have proven Indian heritage to the Wicocomico Indians of the Powhatan Confederacy. About 1725 Christian Bourne married William Tapp son of William Taptico II last Tribal Chief of the Wicocomico Indian Nation. Williams brother, Vincent Tapp married Elizabeth Bourne about 1735. If you can trace your Bourne lineage back to this era, you have verifiable Native American blood. for more information see our Web Site www.wicocomico-indian-nation.com Any questions email byrdman@theriver.com Anah Al Byrd |
