Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions in such depth. We are trying a DNA test through Ancestry.com - hopefully we'll find some more answers. Meanwhile, I will keep my eyes open for possible Brannon spelling variations, although everything we have back to 1817 points to the Brannon spelling. Carol
