Robert, Good to hear from you, and how ironic that I get a message today as I have just left my Aunts home. I did get some information from her in August, but it was incomplete. She returned from Shediac last month and today we filled in some gaps, names and some dates from the family bible and from a notebook that her mother Clara (Cormier) Breau had kept with information. I also received some pictures that I will scan to add to my database of family names, but also offer some to your research if it will help. However, aside from the writings in thses two books, I have no 'verifiable' sources to offer as of yet. Obviously, I have paperwork and documentaion on the 11 Breau children born to Amedee and Clara between the years 1918 and 1936. I have a copy of a "Permit to leave Canada" dated 18 June 1917 for Amedee's honeymoon trip listing his birth date and listing his father as a known aquaintance (Abraham Breau, m. Henriette Poirier) In the two books is listed: Abraham (m. Henriette), son of Romain (who married twice 1. Marie Cormier (Abraham's Mother) and Francoise Melanson, son of George (m. Adelaide Bourk), son of Joseph (m. Anne Surette) son of Amand (m. Theotiste Bonnevie) son of Jean (m. Anne Goutreau) son of Antoine (m. Marguerite Baben) son of Vincent (m. Marie Bourque) Most was listed in my Great Great grandmothers writing along with some dates, locations and notes on some children and some more current in my great grandmothers writing. Anything sound familiar? I am sure it does in some capacity, but I am sure caution is the key when dealing with in yet unverified information. Let me know how I can assist. Lawrence |
