I have: 1880 Swain Co. NC Census, Nantahala Township, John H. Brendle, 39, he & both parents b.NC, Deba L., wife, 34, b.NC, father b.GA, mother b.SC, Harrison U, son, 10, Calvin, son, 9, Marcus, son, 7, Sadoc, son, 6, Taylor, son, 4, David B, son, 2, Josephine, dau, 5 mos. b.approx. Feb 1880. All children b.NC. And Swain Co. marriage record: Calvin Brendle, 28, and Nancy Ann Dale, 18, no date recorded, witnesses: J.R. Smiley, S.W. Womack, T.H. Brendle. I am a descendant of John David Brendle through his daughter,Annie, who married Jesse Madison Smiley. Do you know who Calvin's children were?
