I'm just passing on information that might help someone else someday, she's not related to my family, but her obit was on the page I had to copy for one of my relatives.
From Brandon Historical Society, Brandon, Fond du Lac Co., Wisconsin. Date and source not provided.
Catherine Brisbane was born Oct. 26, 1824, at Denholm, Roxbergshire, Scotland. When she was three years old she emigrated with her parents to this country. They first settled near Waupun, but early moved to Mackford Prairie, among that unsurpassable type of rugged humanity which constituted the pioneer class. Here she lived one of those beautiful lives amid the vicissitudes of hardship and suffering which pass unheralded and unsung, truly characteristic of so many of our peerless founders and commonwealth builders. Six years ago she moved to Fairwater and thence to Brandon, from whence she passed beyond the pale of human agony and away from the strife and turmoil of our common days to the land that is fairer than day on Oct. 31, 1918. She was a member of the Baptist church.
Her husband, Alansing Rector, preceded her in death forty-four years ago. Three children were born to them, all having crossed the river of Jordon, one in early childhood, William who passed away last February and Helen a month later. Aldis Rector, her stepson, with many relatives and friens remain to mourn their loss. B.
Private funeral services were conducted from the home Saturday afternoon, Rev. S. Bullough of the Congregational church officiating. Her remains were taken to Mackford Prairie for interment, Rev. J. DeVries of Fairwater assisting in the services at the grave.
**(It appears at least one more line was cut off the obit).
