This from my Mother's hunt for her family, Catherine Ann who married William Hinds. These articles are written by Doris Miller. Hope they help you. THE PRESS-OBSERVER MARCH 20, 1978 page 7 TREESEARCHING with doris by Doris C. Miller 2730 Orchard Avenue, Huntington, W. Va. In 1959, the late Mrs. Ursula Hale Myrtle brought me a copy of the “Last Will and Testament” of her great grandfather, William Wirt Brumfield, which she believed had bee torn from Cabell County Will Book A. On examination however, if seemed to be a copy someone had made on paper like that used in the old record books. Later I looked at Will Book A and found that the will was recorded in its proper place. Apparently the late William Wirt Brumfield son of the maker of the will had either copied the document himself or had someone else to do it for him. Before returning the will to Mrs. Myrtle, I had a Photostatic copy made from which the copy below was made. Next week I’ll get back to the Osborns. ****************** WILLIAM WIRT BRUMFIELD’S WILL I William Brumfield of the county of Cabell and state of Virginia being weak of body but of perfect mind and memory & considering the uncertainty of this mortal life do make this my last Will and testament in manner & form following, towit, I give and bequeath first: in my sons John H Brumfield Henderson P.
