I am the 4th. gt. grandson of James Brumfield and Eilizabeth (Rice) Brumfield. My direct line goes: James William Groff, gt. grandfather; Mary Ann (Haney)Groff, 2 gt. grandmother; Mahala (Brumfield) Haney first wife of Samuel; James and Elizabeth(Rice)Brumfield my 4 gt. grandparents.
